New York
Rating:

"New York" is a contemporary story of friendship set against the larger than life backdrop of a city often described as the centre of the world. For most of us, larger events in the world are just headlines in the newspapers but these events can change our lives... forever. "New York" is one such story of 3 young friends whose beautiful lives are turned upside down by larger events beyond their control.
Review
New york started off in a slow pace- introducing all the characters, their relations with each other Bollywood Style (cue music and slowmotion pace activity).Nevertheless, the movie gets you hooked from the very first scene. It's like CSI meets PrisonBreak but desi style. Think of Heration from CSI, -Irffan Khan played the FBI suave, cool, witty and sharp. The film basically shows how the persecution of Muslims after 9-11 was real, even if the persecution complex thereafter was an exaggeration. It’s a fairly balanced view on a subject that is easy to get rhetorical about. And we still watch a story unfold with all the masala and drama that you’d associate with commercial cinema. I've always like the part when they go to intermission. It always keeps you at the edge of your seat on what's going to happen next. New York is just that. A liltte bit cliche, but that's how the bollywood samosas 'crumble'. I don't want to give away too much details but i have to add Kabir Khan have scroed goal for Yash Raj. John Abraham, for now isn't as expressionless as he was before. Today, he has delivered his career’s finest performance for me. Katrina Kaif has finally got the "potato stuffings" from a samosa role and she scored in this film and her hindi is improving. When she cries, i genuinly believe her. After Johnny gadar and Aa dehken Zara, i knew Neil will act well in this film- not predictable but he's only 2 films old and he's giving other actors a run for thier money.
